Optical (hybrid) distribution boxes allow optical (copper) cables to be connected and disconnected and provide a mechanical protection of the joints. The distribution boxes come in a wide range of designs (wall-mounted, flush-mounted, as a separately standing pillar, and rack-mounted), and enable the placement of a series of optical connectors (splices) with the capacity of 2 to 1,920 optical connectors. The ORM and HORM series of distribution boxes are designed for both indoor and outdoor use.
