On second half of August 2008, companies MICOS, spol. s r.o. and Glimmerglass concluded a cooperation contract. MICOS company will sell Glimmerglass Intelligent Optical Switches to customers in EU countries

Glimmerglass Intelligent Optical Switches deliver high-performance, reliable and easy-to-use solutions to help users manage physical fiber infrastructure in commercial telecom and data networks, mission-critical security and defense platforms, automated testing applications, broadcast video facilities and more.
Each Glimmerglass optical switch can establish non-blocking, transparent connections between input and output single mode fibers without regenerating the source signal. As such, Glimmerglass switches can connect whatever information is carried by the fiber without regard to data-rate or protocol, including DWDM, SONET/SDH, Ethernet, radio frequencies, analog and digital video formats and more. Applications that demand remote monitoring, testing, patching for network protection as well as frequent or immediate, automatic reconfiguration of optical fibers will realize substantive benefits from these Glimmerglass solutions.
